Disassembly of a cheap cordless kettle from Kmart

The kettle is held together with 5 Phillips head screws on the bottom.

All the electronic parts of the kettle, apart from the heating element.
A close-up of the incandescent indicator bulb.

A close-up of one of the indicator LEDs.

A close-up of one of the two KSD301 Thermostats. These remain closed until the surface reaches 135C, above which they will open, and stop the flow of electricity to the heating element. The white blob is thermal paste.

The heating element is on the bottom of the kettle, rather than being in the water compartment.
